CasioCTK700ElectronicKeyboard
This Casio CTK700 Electronic Keyboard (61 Keys) is a great gift for the entire family. There are so many things you can use this Casio CTK700 Electronic Keyboard (61 Keys) for. For instance if you have a young child learning to play the piano this is a great choice for an inexpensive alternative to having a piano. This keyboard also holds 100 songs in its song bank. My kids love to plug in the microphone and sing along with the music. It has easy songs like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and the Muffin Man. You can play along with the music or with the different rhythms like rock, jazz & Latin. Or choose different themes such as piano, electric piano & harpsichord. The Casio CTK700 Electronic Keyboard (61 Keys) not only keeps my kids busy it keeps them learning and expanding their knowledge and creativity. It would make a great Christmas gift. After purchasing the keyboard we did want the Casio Portable Keyboard Bench (Pbench) and Casio GSDX Deluxe Keyboard Stand.

Fisher-Price Power Wheels Barbie Jammin’ Jeep 0

FisherPricePowerWheelsBarbieJamminJeep
Fisher-Price Power Wheels Barbie Jammin’ Jeep is a great power wheels if you have two small children because the older one can drive around the younger one. We take our power wheels on vacation with us. Sometimes we need a way to get around the campsites so instead of riding bikes we have our kids ride in the Fisher-Price Power Wheels Barbie Jammin’ Jeep. My youngest is to small to ride a bike on her own so it’s easier to have her ride along in the power wheels. Our oldest daughter has been driving power wheels since she was 3 so she is really good at it. We’ve had several different models and types. Her latest is the Razor Pocket Mod Miniature Euro Electric Scooter. It’s great for kids that are a little older and a lot more coordinated. The Barbie Jeep has a radio that plays music on what looks like a real FM radio. This jeep can drive forward in two speeds, 2.5 & 5 mph, and reverse in one. It has a high speed lock out in case your kid is a beginner. If your child is able to drive faster you can check out Modified Power Wheels on how to put in a more powerful battery.

Vtech – V.Smile TV Learning System

For under $45.00 your kids can be playing video games and learning while they do it. Very inexpensive compared to other systems that cost over $200.00. There are so many games to choose from and they are made to be more educational than just for fun. They learn things like adding, subtracting, puzzles, and drawing. The Vtech – V.Smile TV Learning System is great because of the variety of games and because of its portability. We use our system in several rooms of the house. It’s so simple to connect and we have even taken it in our truck and hooked it up to our DVD system while we travel.

The Judy Moody Totally Awesome Collection: Books 1-6

JudyMoodyBooks

As a child I loved to read. It’s something I believe is very important for kids to do. Finding the right book is crucial for enhancing their ability to read. My daughter, who is currently in the third grade, loves to read The Judy Moody Totally Awesome Collection: Books 1-6.
Coincidentally, this series of books are written from the perspective of a third grade girl, named Judy Moody. As Judy Moody attends school she gathers information from what she has learned in class and then embarks on various adventures. For example book 3 of the collection, Judy Moody Saves the World!, is about Judy Moody trying to do her part in saving the planet. In class she learned that everything we use in daily life comes ultimately from the resources found in the rain forest. Therefore she goes on a mission to save the rain forest by getting rid of stuff in her house, such as her mom’s makeup, her dads coffee beans and her brother’s gum balls. They are really cute and entertaining stories that kids around that age can relate to. I think kids will find these stories interesting & amusing. The series does continue on with books 7 & 8. There are also a few others that are separate from the series such as, Judy Moody & Stink: The Holly Joliday These books are truly awesome!!

If your kids are struggling with basic math or you just want to reinforce their math skills then Gamewright Polar Derby is a great game for them. It’s a simple and quick game. The manufacture’s recommended age is 8 – 15, so it’s great for my third grader. Basically kids roll the dice and add up the numbers on the polar bears. Product Description for the Gamewright Polar Derby game is as follows:

It’s a rolling polar bear jam! Roll the colored dice to collect high scoring polar bears from the rink. Roll doubles to triple up opponents or Free Skate to take your pick of the pack.

Bratz Girl’s Skate Shoes 1

BratzGirlsSkateShoesEvery child is different when it comes to their ability, dexterity and/or aptitude when learning how to skate. Even personality plays a part in which type of skate is best for an individual child. My daughter loves the Bratz Girl’s Skate Shoes They are a fun alternative to regular roller skates. She wears them as tennis shoes to the store then as skates when she enters the store. We simply click the wheels out and off she goes gliding down the aisles. The shoes are big and heavy so kids can’t wear them all day as regular shoes. Schools don’t allow Heelys Kids’ Pixie Pre/Grd or the Bratz Girl’s Skate Shoes to be worn. My kids also have a pair of roller blades but love the skate shoes more. I think because she wears them inside stores. Not every kid will like the shoe skates. Some kids prefer the Heelys 7174 Shimmer Roller Shoes or Chicago Boy’s Sidewalk Skate better. It really depends on the individual child. Some of my daughters friends can ride heely’s but not shoe skates, and some can ride the shoe skates but not roller blades or heely’s. And one of her friends can ride all of them. Some kids are just more athletic or daring than others. If your child likes roller skates they’ll love the Bratz Girl’s Skate Shoes

TinkerbellCrayolaColorWonderTinkerbell
The Tinkerbell Crayola Color Wonder Tinkerbell is a great way to let your toddler begin the experience of drawing. If your little one likes to color, these markers and coloring books are great. The Tinkerbell Crayola Color Wonder Tinkerbell come with 6 color wonder markers that have special ink that only shows up on the special paper that is included in the set. Each set usually comes with one 24-page Color Wonder Coloring Book with magical Disney themes. So no mess on the furniture or walls in your house. The Tinkerbell Crayola Color Wonder Tinkerbell are recommended for ages 3 and up but my 2 year old has been using them for the past 6 months. If your little one likes to put crayons and markers in their mouth than you might want to hold off on these. Crayola makes different Disney themed sets like the Crayola Color Wonder Sleeping Beauty and the Crayola Color Wonder Pixar Heros . All of which come with unique ink markers and paints that only show up on the color wonder paper, and some come with finger paints like the Crayola Color Wonder Winnie the Pooh Coloring Book and Fingerpaints. Another thing that kids really love is that they get to pick their favorite Disney character. My daughter loves Mickey Mouse and the Princesses. You can get Pooh, Mickey, Toy Story, Cars, Nemo and much more. They are great to take on road trips in the car or when waiting at the Doctors office.

Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Baby’s First Blocks 0

Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Baby’s First Blocks
I wasn’t convinced of the need or benefit of the Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Baby’s First Blocks at first. The only experience I was having with them was from picking them up off the floor and from under the couch. However once my toddler started walking around and became aware of colors and shapes it was a different experience. First she would carry them one by one into the room and start stacking them. Then she was telling me the colors of the different blocks. And finally she is now placing the different shapes into the corresponding holes on the lid of the blocks container. I was truly amazed at how she was figuring out how to place the triangle shaped block into the triangle shaped hole in the lid. Again we have other blocks as well such as the Classic Embossed Alphabet Blocks ABC which are great but serve a different purpose. These blocks are great for stacking and then knocking them down. Unless your kid is learning their alphabet these blocks are only good for stacking and building.

My daughter loves to use this food from Melissa & Doug Food Groups along with her Green Toys Tea Set. It’s more fun and great learning with the food and dishes together. Melissa & Doug have several other play food sets like a fridge food set, a sandwich making set and a veggie set. Most of these sets are wood not plastic and come in a great wooden carry case to store them in. It’s wonderful to watch them play and to see their imaginations at work.
